Dr. Elias Kaiser

Research Associate

Elias is an expert on greenhouse crop photosynthesis. He has worked as an Assistant Professor in the Horticulture and Product Physiology group at Wageningen University for four years. His current research interests include: i) the dynamics of photosynthesis under naturally fluctuating light intensities, ii) new approaches for rapid phenotyping as well as long-term monitoring of plant functional traits, and iii) leaf photosynthesis acclimation and plant growth under different light spectra and under naturally fluctuating light intensities.

At the Jan IngenHousz Institute, Elias works as a Research Associate, where he assists the development of new scientific projects and workshops. Elias is very passionate about open science, development of cheap sensors for detecting relevant plant processes in the field, and the exchange of innovative ideas.
